Perusahaan Apple baru-baru ini mengeliuarkan produk barunya yaitu iphone 8 dan iphone 8 plus. pada tanggal 14 september produk Apple menggelar sebuah event untuk menjelaskan tentang produknya namun secara keseluruhan, desain yang di bawa iphone 8 dan 8 plus tak banyak berubah dari pendahulunya.
peningkatan lebih signifikan terlihat pada spesifikasi dan fitur yang di bawanya . iphon 8 dan 8 plus mengandalkan prosesor A11 berinti 6 dengan desain 64bit. performa CPU-nya lebih cepat 70% di bandingkan A10, sementara GPU-nya lebih mantab 25%.
Dari sisi kamera, iphone 8 masih mengusung single kamera 12 megapixel, sementara varian iphone 8 plus sudah menggunakan dual kamera yang masing-masing lensanya juga memiliki sensor berkualitas 12 megapixel.
fitur yang di tambahkan pada dual kamera iphone 8 plus adalah "potrait Lighting" dimana pembidikan foto potrait tak cuma punya efek oke tapi juga lebih menonjol warnanya. Efek serupa dengan pembidikan kamera SLR berlensa premium.
